I
have been involved with SIRE since 1995 in various capacities from
video taping potential horses for the program to volunteering with
the therapeutic riders to designing posters, t-shirts and invitations.
To a handicap person who either cannot walk or walks very little,
horseback riding is for the upper body the closest thing there is
to actually walking. And that only begins to explain therapeutic
riding.
To
watch a person develop over time from their first meeting with
a horse to their first Olympics is an incredible and heartfelt
journey. To create pieces to promote the good work of the organization,
a joy.
